- 1 cup semolina (rava / sooji)
- 1/2 cup curd (dahi)
- 1/2 cup spinach (palak) puree
- 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp fruit salt
For The Tempering
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds (rai / sarson)
- 1/2 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
- 1 tbsp chopped cashew nuts (kaju)
For Serving
- Sambhar
- Coconut chutney
Method:
For Palak Rava Idli Recipe
- Prepare the Tempering:
- Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds and urad dal. Sauté on medium flame for 30 seconds.
- Add chopped cashew nuts and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
- Prepare the Idli Batter:
- In a deep bowl, combine semolina, curd, spinach puree, ginger-green chilli paste, lemon juice, salt, and ½ cup of water. Mix well.
- Cover with a lid and set aside for 15 minutes.
