Maggi noodles are a popular instant noodle dish enjoyed by people of all ages. Here’s a quick and easy recipe to make delicious Maggi noodles at home:
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Maggi noodles (usually comes with the tastemaker seasoning)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1 small carrot, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/4 cup of green peas (fresh or frozen, optional)
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan or pot over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and wait to sizzle for few seconds until it start to release its aroma.
- Add the chipped garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies to the pan. SautĆ© for a minute until the raw smell disappears, and they turnĀ golden.
- Add the chopped onions and wait until it becomeĀ translucent.
- Now, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft .
- If you’re adding vegetables like carrots and peas, toss them in and cook for a couple of minutes until they are slightly tender.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and the Maggi tastemaker seasoning (usually included in the Maggi noodles pack). Mix well to finely coat the vegetables with the spices.
- add 2 cups of water in a the pan and boil it.
- Once the water is boiling, break the Maggi noodles block into the pot. Let it cook in the boiling water for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- As the noodles cook, they will absorb the water and the seasoning. Taste the noodles and adjust the salt and spice level according to your preference.
- Turn off the heat once the noodles are cooked to your desired consistency (some people prefer it softer, while others like it slightly firm).
- Garnish the Maggi noodles with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
